#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
For the trees; recycling
It’s a relief to walk outside and not freeze in the morning. The rain, tonight, is back. The woods were so much dryer today, and after my good swim, I came home and walked with Charlie and Wave. We went to the tent and only had to wade through a shallow patch of water, He had brought his toy dinosaurs, so we had fun playing dinosaur hospital in the tent. My son has started ordering the furnishings, and he told us at dinner tonight that he got the stove for the interior set up today. Yay! Today was busy and I got a lot done, and I had the happiness of my dear friend arriving for a visit from Florida. And my youngest and her boyfriend came home at the same time, and then my son dropped in, and we ended up having the entire family at the dinner table. I made a lentil soup and popovers and various leftovers, and it was a sweet meal with Wave guiding our conversational check-ins. Also had the Israeli support group today, which was very moving and deep. I am exceptionally tired tonight for all good reasons. I love to see the brightly colored fungi on the trees in winter, doing their good work on helping the dead trees break down and recycle. I have been tweaking my newest poem little by little, day by day, and it’s bringing me great satisfaction.
