Woke up in a quiet house and worked on one of my new poems. Tightening. Off for my swim; a strong one. I swam for a good hour and felt great. The water is receding. I made my way to the tent. The paths are drying. I didn’t stay out long, but it was pleasantly warm. No ice. The tent is really in a great dry spot, it has been the surroundings that flooded. Four days of holiday, and today the cleaning, straightening. And the joy of having Wave back in the house, playing. The sweet rest of a two hour nap, even though the house was not that quiet.
