#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Ice image, morning brook

Out in the cold morning, out in the warmer afternoon, and out in the late afternoon at dusk. Ice on the morning brook, after my swim, with Charlie. He is behaving a bit weirdly still even though he’s had all of his antibiotics for his tick born illness. Strange. He won’t go out the back door! Only the front! Otherwise, seems fine. A dear friend stopped by for a quick walk––my friend from Ojai, California and we walked a quick walk in the woods talking a mile a minute to catch up on so many things. A speed walk and talk in the woods! I am working quite a bit on my Play Lab because my showcase is Sunday night. It’s worth it. I love our showcases. Also, working on dinners, because I love our dinners by the fire at the round table. It’s worth troubling over the meal when we all sit down and appreciate it and have our conversations. Tonight, Wave wildly praised my meatballs. He and I had a late afternoon walk at dusk. I knew he needed this. We walked to the river under threat of Trex; so many dinosaurs around us, above us, and thankfully, a herd of coyotes fought them off to keep us safe. At the river, where Charlie broke the ice to have a drink, there was a full moon shining up at us from the glassy ice.
