#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Lord, it is time. The summer was very big. Lay thy shadow on the sundials, and on the meadows let the winds go loose. Command the last fruits that they shall be full; give them another two more southerly days, press them on to fulfillment and drive the last sweetness into the heavenly wine.

- Rainer Maria Rilke

Tonight, window open to the heavily falling rain, just started a few minutes ago. Soothing and glorious. Unless thunder kick up! I made up a song I sang all the way home from picking the Special One up from school today about the thunder and lightning and rain. And now, yes, the thunder and lightning begin! Poor Charlie! Frank gets up to go get him from downstairs––and there he is on the other side of our door! The day started at a crazy, noisy place, 7:00 a.m, and the floor of the master bedroom going in and everyone sleeping in later than planned, so a chaotic start. I had a meeting online with the Ukrainian therapists (the one for the leaders) and I had to jump on that call and I was not yet fit for video. But I was glad I went for the sharing and camaraderie and we are going to be writing an article for a professional journal together about what we’re doing. After that, my youngest is happy to go for a walk with me and Charlie, but we decide to jog instead, and we have a great chance to catch up with her professional journey. Now, for sure, I just know there will be water in the brook in the morning. There are so many happy plants out there tonight; and I don’t think they are bothered by thunder. I love rain.
