Today is a walking to school morning. Same cloudless sky. He is dropped but there is a sign on the door, a reminder, and we have forgotten. Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day, no school. Oh well. Charlie and I go off on a happy walk along the river. Winding down, our last couple of days if all goes well. And it turns into a very very quiet and productive day for me. Room of my own. No interruptions. A meeting with my poetry peers, discussing poems which put me in a terrific mood and kept me going. Revised more, and then still had the energy to read and blurb a friend’s anthology. Then, all of a sudden, time to walk back to school, pick him up, and take another long walk into the evening dusk.
