#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
A morning of warmth and sun after rain. So pleasant as the trees pop in color and drench the landscape with vitality. I walked with my daughter for a ways. The brook is full! The trees are a glorious reflection in the water. Officially, I’m not sure the drought is over, but here, under the trees, in the wetlands, it feels so. After two morning appointments, I shut my computer for the day and have a day off, much needed. I go shopping with my youngest to buy some professional clothes for her new job. I am relaxed and happy and manage to get myself something on sale to wear for my nephew’s wedding. We have a lot of fun. Then, a much needed nap before driving to the airport to pick up my dear friend from Florida for a weekend visit at our home. Separated by the pandemic, we haven’t seen each other in person in three and a half years! I welcome her into the full house, chaotic and cheerful and cluttered as it is, and she fits in seamlessly, having been part of the family for years. Frank notices my photo from today. He loves the colors, is surprised that this is our very own autumn brook.
