#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
“We have nothing to fear and a great deal to learn from trees, that vigorours and pacific tribe which without stint produces strengthening essences for us, soothing balms, and in whose gracious company we spend so many cool, silent, and intimate hours.”
― Marcel Proust
Frigidly cold, but not unpleasant. I am safely bundled up and the river is ribboned in white and blue ice. Quiet, peace. In my office, like this too, a pleasant, light, ribbon of winter quiet. I am eager to be at my desk. Two clients today and prep for my writing group tonight. It was a long and refreshing walk in the woods to start the day, and an encouraging phone call with a poetry friend along the way. I leave my office singing tonight as I turn out the lights and close the door, having just ended my writing group. It was rich and intimate. Ribboned with blue and white like the river.
