#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Late Afternoon, Charles River
One should not only photograph things for what they are but for what else they are.”
– Minor White
One of those rare mornings where I wake tired and I never found my good energy today. Charlie missed our walk. I rested. I had the energy for sitting: Poetry workshop captured my interest and energy. I had to take my computer to the Apple Store, never a very pleasant task: the line snaking out the door, the wait, despite having an appointment, the employees who cannot speak except to follow a script, and yet, my problem solved itself at the Genius Bar, and I was grateful for that. I know I will feel my regular energetic self tomorrow. In the late afternoon I had time for walk to the river to see the foliage against a steel grey sky. I am resting and looking forward to running my play lab tomorrow on Zoom for the monologue course. I had the chance to scroll through my Instagram feed back a year. A literary journal that I submitted some images to got in touch about using them and also wanting one they found on my feed from summer of 2020. So, even though I didn’t really walk much at all today, I felt like I made a journey back through a year of seasons, getting a visual feast of all the things I have seen and been moved by in nature over the past year. Quite a satisfying and stimulating journey.
