#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Lady slippers! A happy start to this day, along Lady Slipper row with my youngest. We walked early. A long ramble of discovery. I love seeing what’s new in bloom in May! Home, I watered all the new plants as it plans to be warm and sunny now for days. A busy household. I prep for my Mass. Poetry webinar, How Pictures Heal: Writing From Personal Photos. There are over 140 people registered. I know that many won’t come, but I put the final touches on my plan and feel confident. I get some disappointing news about a half hour before the webinar. But am prepped and ready to focus. It’s a wonderful webinar. About half those who signed up come, and it’s a big crowd, and I present exactly what I wanted to and the sharing was very moving. Kudos to Mass. Poetry for this amazing festival which continues through May 16. What programming! What organization! I feel so fortunate to have had a chance to present there for another year. Next, time for a dip in Farm Pond to end this busy week. My daughter and I go, and the water is very cold! I don’t care. I don’t stay in long. Just long enough to feel a cleansing of my spirit. Charlie fishes quite happily and Suzi lolls on the dock. Then I fall into a long deep satisfying much needed nap. Frank has dinner ready when I wake. The youngest has a True Story Theater show on Zoom after dinner, and every one of the DuMar family attends to support her. Yes, my heart is a little heavy tonight. And also full of gratitude for so many blessings of this day.
