Thursday morning is turning into a chance to walk with my son. I walked to the river and the ice was all gone from the edge. I was out early, awake early, after a good night’s sleep. The snow is melting. The air was cold. y son joined me on the trail and we walked into the woods talking and talking about our lives. Then, poetry workshop. I got some good feedback on my poem. I was so pleased, in the afternoon, to host the IWWG bi-monthly open mic with Fleda Brown. We had a very big showing, great participation. After that, an IWWG committee meeting and I was zoomed out. My youngest came, we drove to get some dinner things at the market and it was so nice to have quiet, intimate, catching up conversation with her. Tonight I heard from a journal that has published a few of my photo series, and recently accepted another one, that they want to feature one of my photos on the cover of the issue. So, tomorrow I will find some more too choose from, that I will send them, on the theme of “weather.” Yes, I do have more than a few photos on the theme of weather! My youngest, an educator, got her vaccine appointment today, on this one year anniversary of the pandemic being official. My heart, tonight, is with all those who have lost loved ones; all those who have been ill. All those who are recovering.
