#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Black Tree, Sun and Blue sky in Morning Brook
Chill in the air. I go out early for a short run. It will be another day of sun and some warming up, not much. Suzi and Charlie have their drinks and dips in the brook. A cloudless blue reflection in the morning brook. I am thinking about what to read in my poetry reading in Weymouth tomorrow night––how I want to choose my poems. Today is a day I get back to my desk in my quiet office where I must put the heat on for a bit to warm it up. I have two writing clients which cheers my day; and I find that my poem, “woods cycle,” has been published today in Thrush Poetry Journal along side some wonderful poems, including one by Ada Limon! My poem is all about my experience of this habit where I have the good fortune to live. Tonight was a date, a movie, a party, a dinner out! A dear friend organized a fun late afternoon private viewing of the new James Bond movie, and we dressed up for the fun of it and watched the movie, which was excellent, and then all went off for a fun dinner in a restaurant. How fun to be on a date with my husband. The last movie I went to in a movie theater was the first week of March 2020. Covid was in the news, and Frank and I were in Florida just starting to be a little aware that Covid was coming. Life seems to be returning a bit to normal. And, in the house, everyone is feeling well.
