#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Morning, Charles River
. . . So your moment
of impatience must bow in service to a larger story,
because if something is in your way it is
going your way, the way
of all beings; towards darkness, towards light.~ Excerpt from, Even the Word Obstacle is an Obstacle by Alison Luterman
November sky is the story of the day. Especially late afternoon, before dusk, driving on errands, the blue and purple shades and the fat clouds. And November creeps to an end. I walk early with just Charlie over the crunchy leaves. I have a busy day, but my poem draft pretty much done. Other business to attend to, and I get my Covid booster and flu shot at the pharmacy. Done! And I feel happy this is behind me. Before the shots I take a short swim. I am pleased to be continuing my daily meditation, although today I cut it short, by half. Still, the discipline, the practice, it calls me and I (mostly) don’t resist. Monday nights, I love curling up in my chair under a blanket with my poetry workshop and going on these beautiful journeys of minds, bodies, spirits. My poem is well received. Frank travels tomorrow after a nice having him home.
