#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
It Rained Last Night
Sun, after rain, and the leaves blown over the deck and the golden pine needles all over the yard. A day full to bursting. A yard party for a special someone, and all the set up and busyness and preparations. Despite this, a short walk to the river to greet the day and smell the wet leaves rotting so pleasantly, and to feel the autumn sun on my shoulders and see the trees coloring the river. And, to breathe and get my bearings. And tonight, leading the play lab for the monologue course. I have four guest actors and over a dozen writers and the monologues were so so emotionally powerful, and so exquisitely read by the actors. The showcase in two weeks is going to be amazing. I hope I can sleep, I feel tired but high. So much to take in and absorb. Grateful for the richness of this day and all the friends and family and writers and actors and especially the children I played with, who made the day so special.
