#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
"Morning glory is the best name, it always refreshes me to see it."
~ Henry David Thoreau
Yes, I walked in gold. I walked with my friend, at glorious sunrise. I had been awake for some time, working, finishing up the preparations for the launch of my first, branded Aim for Astonishing writing workshop online tonight. When it was light, we went out over the sand to the Gulf and walked toward the sun rising. It was a talkative walk, and a listening walk and it went by so fast as we were lost in talk. Today was quite a satisfying day, from this start, to this finish, my course successfully launched with a lovely, intimate, dynamic group who will work together once per month online for the next six months, writing from their personal photos. And I had good news about my Postcards From the Gulf poem and photo series. All the rest of the post cards that aren’t going to be published by the first journal have been accepted by one today, a print journal. Which is so nice, to find this out, while I am walking the same beach every day that inspired this series almost one year ago. I hope these walks may inspire another post card series. My feet were warm again today; the temperature has risen, the wind has died down, the birds are back out of hiding, the pelicans are fishing, the dolphins are jumping, and, in the mid afternoon we took our own quick jumps into the chilly gulf. Tonight, the doors are open to the swish and roll of the waves.
