#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Another swim, this time in morning. After taking Suzi and Charlie on a walk through the meadow. I was picking wildflowers for the table, and they were plentiful in the hot hot sun. So, the water was welcoming fresh and I swam toward the other shore. Memories surface: 4th of July parades, field races, and swim races, my childhood, and the childhoods of my children. In this lull, I will not race or be at races or parades today. Perhaps, when the grandchildren come, I'll once again participate in the festivities. My father, a grandfather of so many, came to the field races so many years to watch one of his many grandchildren win or lose the potato sack race. He was a very loving grandfather and I miss him today.
