#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
The sun is up and I have to decide: snow shoes or skis. I choose the skis and head toward the sun rising on the river, but it's tough going. The snow is deep and crusty. But, I'm committed and keep going. All the trails are full of fallen branches; there's not smooth skiing out here this morning, but the air is deliciously cool on my cheeks as my body heats from the effort of getting around downed branches and trees to cut a trail.
It's late now, end of day, ending with a very stimulating Play Lab I led online. The work shared is very good, it's so exciting to watch the work, the writers, progressing, and the pieces shared are emotionally moving. In the kitchen, there is loud talking, laughter, and as I end the play lab, I find that my daughters and a dear high school friend are having a snack and I join them to laugh and gossip and we do impromptu yoga stretches on the kitchen floor as we tell stories, and for me, this whole evening has been a huge success. Now, sleep, and maybe pleasant dreams.
