#NewThisday Writing From My Photo Stream
First the scarf comes off, then the hat. Also, both gloves. I'm out later, the sun is out, it's the warmest day since snow fell on Christmas. Warm enough that the layer of snow obscuring the Rocky Narrows trail map has become visible again, melted to a thin layer of ice. Of course, I don't need the map to find my way in these woods. I simply like the red rectangular reminder to pay attention, be present, because I'm here and know where I am. I am in the presence of wing shaped leaves and moon drenched ice images. My eyes, my ears, my muscles, my imagination are fully engaged and present. I am breathing, deeply, the fresh air. I am not clumsy and closed off from my creative spirit. I believed this so much of my life. Now, I am an artist of woods.
