#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Lily-of-the-valley has such a powerful perfume, you smell it before you see it. There's a fine wild patch of it growing on the wooded trail among the boulders, sticks, broken branches, pine needles, leaf rot. Yes, I have plenty in my yard - it transplants and spreads so easily. But finding it here, discovering it by scent, feels like a sweet, private secret is being revealed.
Lily-of-the-valley thrives in the shade of the pine trees. But, here, on this early morning, a beam of sunlight catches this tiny beauty, charming me with its enchanting shadow.
