#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Of course I will go out. Franci is away. I need to feed her pigs; I will bring them grain and leftovers - all the treats I can find to warm their spirits. The dogs area ready, my layers and layers are on, my skis clicked into their bindings, I'm off.
Yesterday, I toured the O'Keeffe exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA: Georgia O'Keeffe: Art, Image Style. In early November, I toured the garden and home of O'Keeffe in Abiquiu (here is the slideshow of my pictures of her home).
So, I have chosen the perfect podcast to listen to two days before New Year's day: Cultivating Place: A New Year Vision - The Abiquiu, New Mexico Garden of Georgia O'Keeffe.
Cultivating Place: my morning ski. . . a morning podcast, a morning of nature and art
I am writing, early, before going out, as I have been every day this week, from my solstice egg image. In the midst of this reflection, my husband calls, he is out early. Be careful, it's minus two degrees. My ham string has been aching; my calves are tight. All the skiing this week is impacting my muscles. I briefly wonder if I should take the day off. Walk perhaps? Or stay inside and swim?
