It's nowhere near my tenth birthday on this rainy day, but after my walk in the golden-red woods, I found this wonderful poem by Marjorie Knapp, published in April, 1934, in Poetry Magazine, now in the archive at the Poetry Foundation. I'm sharing it here as a wish to myself on this happy birthday, because ten is how my spirit feels waking up in the woods today:
