#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
A long, glorious walk this morning, but no time to write about it. Instead, I find this wonderful poem by Alicia Ostriker:
“As if there could be a world
Of absolute innocence
In which we forget ourselves
Black dogs, tan dogs,
Tubes of glorious muscle—
Pursuing pleasure ”
To read the entire poem, and even listen to a recording of the poet reading it, go here.
