#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
In the cheek-bite fresh of winter air at sunrise as I walk the river, I am preparing for Winter Solstice, which will occur tomorrow, in the Northern Hemisphere, at 5:44 a.m.
For tomorrow morning, I found this lovely "Winter Solstice Chant," by the poet, Annie Finch.
Here is an excerpt, and a link for listening to Annie's enchanting voice here.
“Vines, leaves, roots of darkness, growing,
now you are uncurled and cover our eyes
with the edge of winter sky
leaning over us in icy stars. . . .”
