#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Almost November now. Another wet morning, and I am out before sunrise, but the light stays gloomy under heavy clouds. It's warmer than it looks. Rain threatens. The river view colors are muted now, the fire extinguished. The prettiest, boldest, freshest colors this morning, I find in the swamp - bright red leaves against deep cypress green. My eyes hunt the shapeliest mushrooms - I want to be surprised. Fewer and fewer are surfacing from under fall layers of layers of fallen leaves. Enchanted moments can be wished for, not planned. Maybe this morning, I will find one.
A few lucky moments with a mushroom view, on soggy knees, this day is different now. A spell is cast. Good morning, let's see what happens next.
Consider the mushroom: Think playfully, act playfully. Lighten your words and ways in the day. Imagine the unusual possibilities. Use playful words aloud to meet someone - become lighthearted, tender, generous, egoless; pop out the earth into somebody's forest to delight and surprise.
