#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
The river, the brook, the wetlands the paths to the front and back door are all ice. I take Charlie to the river in the fresh cold. Brittany hasn’t followed us, so I can’t stay out, as I’d like to. I’m afraid she’s waiting at the front door to be let in. And she is. But the wetlands ice, I wish I could spend some time exploring it. But I have a wonderful swim, again. The Kingsbury pool is very warm, a wonderful swim. I have only one group today; I thought I was going to be flying home. Instead I’m having Wave’s February vacation with him. We spent the afternoon at the pool with him swimming. I swam with him for awhile but when I got out I saw that he was finding ways to make friends with other young swimmers and was putting his head under water and swimming with all the skills he attained last summer and more. He made a new friend by hanging in and not giving up. The boy was cold. Then cool. Then warmer. Finally, willing to play. Frank made dinner; my son joined us. It is wonderful having this magical time with Wave who is appreciating it so much.
