#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
A morning opens with sun. I catch it, briefly, in the sunflowers leaning by the garden gate. Charlie and I take a walk. Sunflowers and pumpkins are pretty much all that’s left of the garden. Today is poetry and plays. I work on my manuscript and tonight, Frank shops, prepares dinner, sets the table, and we have the chance for a family meal before I produce my Play Lab Showcase on Zoom. I’m a bit torn, rushing away from the table with my daughter who will act in my showcase. My son has joined us too and I haven’t seen him in a long time. I cannot be in two placed at once. I want to be in two places at once. In the showcase, I forget about the dinner I left early, because I am so glad to be in the showcase. That’s always how it works when you are choosing between two good things going on at the same time. Sunflowers, both ways.
