#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Tonight, leaving the restaurant in Wellesley, a sweet sliver lip of moon in the sky while flurries fall softly. Then the moon is gone. Clouds. So cold. A fresh inch or two of snow. A mostly indoor day after my morning swim. Again, a strong one, a mile, and it felt very energizing. Then I did take Charleston out ot the river, but a short one. A little revising today, a poem that seems to need a lot of shifting and shifting. As much as I enjoyed being in Costa Rica, in the sunshine and warmth and beauty of the beach, I am so glad to be home in New England, on this river, with its ice and geese and ducks. I do think, in addition to the geese and mallards this morning, I saw a small group of Bufflehead ducks in the middle of the river.
