#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Seeds of Late Summer Marsh
“A Quiet Revolution. . . .
When we notice, carefully observe, and actively follow the way plants live, they become part of us. We learn not only about them but from them. In this sense plants become our teachers. We meet life in the plant and this life can light up in us and increasingly inform the way we interact with the world. . . ”
Under clouds breaking blue
rooted in mud, intermingling
with cattails and pepperbush
these seeds I am holding
my necessary, a mystery
why must I belong
