Morning Sun on the Charles River

What a spring day! Truly spring. It warmed up and was sunny with a lovely breeze. Patriot’s Day here, so Frank left early, before I was up, to beat the street closures for the Marathon and get to Logan. I had a fabulous swim, and then a short walk with Charlie to the Charles and the sun was a brilliant circle of light on the surface of the water. I had poetry workshop; got helpful feedback. In fact, the day framed by morning workshop and evening workshop with my peers/friends. We lingered online tonight, chatting. I had a poetry rich day. A journal accepted two images. I got a bit of yard work done in the late afternoon after picking up Wave. Happy to have him home, and we wanted some time in the yard with me, but he was tired. I was happy to make dinner tonight after my weekend break. In fact I made two dinners with special orders. I am grateful to be swimming and having my energy back. My uncle is still in the hospital and will be discharged tomorrow, but it will be to a new setting where he can be cared for in hospice. We will get our aunt there to visit him often. I have known this for a few days; I will be able to see him later in the week. He will have excellent care as my sister is in management of the company that owns the rehab where he is going, so this is ideal as they are being very supportive and she will be able to visit him often.

I could hear my heart beating. I could hear everyone’s heart. I could hear the human noise we sat there making, not one of us moving, not even when the room went dark.
