Today, a delight was having a boy turning one years old in this casa. Happy Birthday, Bodie! Another delight was seeing what his grandmother, Po, did with the uncut watermelon I picked up at the store yesterday. Quick with a knife and creativity, Po turned the watermelon into Bodie’s birthday cake! We lit candles and sang for him tonight. Ending a perfect day. We played pickle early this morning before it got too hot. A fun workout. Then I ran my Ukrainian group, worked on poem and spent time with Frank. He played tennis late afternoon - won! and I walked to the beach for my sunset swim. Frank calls this a religious experience. He met me on the beach, overheated and triumphant from his match and dove in to cool off. This time is appreciated so deeply by all of us.
