#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Winter leaves
I made a collage because I took no walk and no pictures today. For good reasons. Brittany barked me awake at 5:00 a.m. to go out. Not quite enough sleep. But it turned out that my daughter asked me if I wanted to go to hot yoga with her in Brookline. Well, I have been looking for a chance to go with her because she’s really into it and I wanted to see how she does it. I knew it would be very tough for me, but I decided to just go and see what I could do. Or not do. My goodness it was hot. I’ve done hot yoga before but not in years and not very much. And I don’t particularly like hot yoga, but as I say, I had the desire to see her do it! We got there early to get a spot, which means we had plenty of time to heat up before the yoga even started. Needless to say, I was able to do about a third of the class. Oh, and she said later, she forgot to tell me it was a 75 minute class. Yeah. I figured it out. Sweating in child’s pose for a good portion of it. But she is amazing. I really got to see what she can do and I was quite impressed. Without overdoing it, I had a pretty good time. Then I drove home to go for my regular lap swim which was very cool and comfortable. So I never took a walk. I prepared in the afternoon for my event tonight, a reading of the writing from my grandmother writing webinar for the IWWG. And I went to my friend Bob Carr’s poetry reading online which was great. And I made meatballs and spaghetti and garlic bread for Wave’s return tonight and my son came to dinner too. My event went so well. We had a great showing of listeners and the writers did a terrific job. Tonight I got my poem sent off for tomorrow with a last minute change of title and a few tweaks. Before dinner I had a chance to play Hide and Seek with Wave. His mother gave away my prime number one hiding spot. Rats. Now I’ve got to find a better one.
