#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
- Anne Frank
A dusting of snow over the morning. It’s a pleasure to help get Wave off to school, and I drive him, with the boys. Mikey and Squirt will go to school with him today. He tells Squirt that he should try to be less shy. He’s a good coach. Then I go for a longer walk once I get home. Decide not to swim today. I had my Covid shot yesterday and my arm is sore, but really I just feel like being outside, mostly. Fresh air. My week has involved some rescheduling for my trip, but I am not leaving as planned. Canceled two groups unnecessarily. Leaving Saturday after all, and that’s fine. It’s sweet being home with my daughter and Wave this week. My Israeli group met today and of course was quite emotional. I baked the cookies from the dough Wave and I made yesterday, boxed them up and mailed them to my aunt because I am not going to be able to see her in person and I want her to know I’m thinking of her. Wave woke me up from a late afternoon nap so we could play. He wanted to show me his new toy. And play ping pong. And then he helped me make dinner, Chicken Parmesan, and then we played Candy Land while we ate dinner, just the two of us, and after that Trouble, and then a very simplified version of Yaghtsee. Whew! I had no time for poems today, but it’s okay.
