Rain! Rain all day! Rain for the plants! Rain for my skin! Lovely autumn rain. Almost autumn. Tomorrow, autumn. I walked Charlie and listened to The Longform Podcast recording of an interview with Javier Zamora on his book I have been wildly praising, “Solito.” A fascinating interview that is about how he approached crafting the book, as an adult, from the 9-year old boy’s point of view. Quite a captivating interview about healing from trauma and writing about trauma. Spent a good portion of the day with the pressure of taxes. Swam in the pool with Wave and his fast, fast legs. Tonight to a friend’s son’s Bar Mitzvah. It was so sweet, so interesting. Quite a family event and so wonderfully intimate and beautifully done. I tried to start a poem for Monday this afternoon and nothing yet. Tonight, indoors, the light pelting of rain on the windows, securely closed. Socks on my cold feet. The season changing.
