An unplanned day. What? Frank and I considered going for a day trip to the ocean for a hike, but we realized we didn’t want to go in the car. And what a lovely morning it was. I worked on my play, very happily. I’m feeling excited about reading it very soon with my actors. I took a 5-mile hike across the trestle bridge and around the Medfield State grounds. Talked to a friend for a long time on the phone, she was walking too. So, we just kept doing what we felt like doing, and that turned into playing pickle outdoors in the summer sun with my daughter and her boyfriend, then going to the beach for a swim and sitting in the sun. Relaxing. Then a ride to Boston, to the North End with them and a dinner with the large windows open to the busy street. A stop at Bova’s bakery. Coconut cake. I got the relaxation I really really needed today.
