#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

At the brook on a sunny, warm morning. Out to check on the plants. Most of the hydrangea have passed their peak but are still lush with pastel colors, browning blooms. I pull a few weeds. I have a million. I stroll for awhile with Charlie, then take a swim for the first time since IWWG. Nice to be home. I am very pleased with the feedback on my new poem from yesterday in morning workshop. Before workshop Wave and I had, guess what––dipping eggs. A wonderful part of my day was taking a break in the mid-afternoon to go to Farm Pond with Wave. He is browning. The sun is very bright on us; he wears a sun shirt and we swim and swim in the cool water, play with new friends. I brought him some diving rings and fish and we have fun playing. Thank goodness for time to play in the middle of the day. Wave has a friend over for dinner, but I have not had time to cook and we eat salads to go out on the deck. Then, another poetry workshop with my peers, more comments on the same poem. A good day’s writing and talking poetry and playing and not watering my plants tonight because I didn’t have time but rain is expected tomorrow and the next few days so all will be well. I thought about winter today. Just, how different it will be. How long the summer seems, in a good way. No hurry, I want it to last. But winter will come and it will be lovely too.
