#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

A wonderfully quiet 4th of July after the fireworks last night. I woke stiff and tired, but happy for this delightful summer day. And my plan and freedom to weed, weed, weed to my heart’s content, no interruption. Watering and weeding. A nice breeze. The hydrangeas in all colors in fine bloom. In the afternoon Frank and I took a bit of a break and I shopped for a few flowers and shrubs. Found some swamp milkweed to plant and some yarrow. I can never have enough yarrow. Then, back to the garden in the late afternoon while Frank mowed. It rained, thankfully, and cooled me off. Most of the weeding done, and the new plants into soil. My butterfly weed is deeply and ravishingly in bloom, and a monarch brushed my shoulder. I followed her to the butterfly bush that drew her into the garden. We celebrated our quiet house and our hard work by dinner in front of the tv watching The Bear. A sweet happy day. A happy 4th of July. A happiness of. being home.

My daughter Franci posts on Tik Tok and Instagram, and she did this one yesterday or today and I loved it, as I love all her posts:
