#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
So so so so wet this morning. Unexpected, the good hard rain and all the veggies and flowers and turtles laying eggs were smiling. I took the day very slowly in the quiet house. Frank left early. Sore and tired, I worked on a poem revision for tomorrow, one that I’ve been tinkering with for over a year. Trying to finalize it for the manuscript. I have a busy week ahead, so I did a lot of organization and was happy that my poem would be in the bank for tomorrow. I thought I wouldn’t do any yard work today. But I’m compulsive. Finally got out in the rain which was sweet. I continued raking and pulling poison ivy from my front garden, readying to put in the few new flowers and shrubs. A fun gathering mid-day with dear friends to meet their first granddaughter. Darling. Then finishing the slide show with my daughter’s help. Whew! Got through all the albums. So, after dinner, Wave came out with me to the garden and we played. Well, he played with the hose a bit since we didn’t need to water anything. Frank joined us and we went on a turtle hunt to the river, but the one I saw this morning in the rain was long gone. A tiny sliver of moon rose in the evening sky. A bunny hopped across the yard. And Wave raced me to the door, and won.
