#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Tonight, on our boat, under the stars. We have begun our islands of Turkey tour, a happy dozen of us. This morning I rose early; quick coffee, then a walk to the sea with my friend, Ed. It was quite hot, but the sea was incredibly cool and refreshing. Back to the hotel for most of the day, awaiting our departure from the port. I swam. And here it comes! The orange moon rising over the horizon. Red/orange, the strawberry moon. Many of us have decided we will sleep out here tonight under the night sky of Turkey. Such a magnificent orb. We have celebrated one of our couple’s wedding anniversaries at dinner tonight. Three of us couples have anniversaries while we’re here. My daughter called me earlier today and we had a long talk and catch up. It was early for her, mid-day for me, and it felt good to be able to listen; to have my listening needed. Tonight, it’s the moon that is listening. Watching, listening, enlightening.
