#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Wave’s school year winding down to the last days; he is reluctant to rise. I ask if he wants to go the garden with me to check on the plants. If he gets up we will have time. He gets up quickly, anxious and tearful that I’ll go without him, but of course I won’t. He dresses quickly and we are out into the fresh morning. No signs of scavengers in the garden. The ground hog has not tried to re-dig the hole I filled in by the garden gate. Whew! We have just time for a dipping egg and hot chocolate, made to go. His mother has been urging him to finish strong. She tells me that when he got out of the car to go in he declared: I’m finishing strong! I swam my mile again today for the second day, back in the pool. And then had a busy and creative and satisfying day. Hosted my Charles River Writers, a great group, then the Israeli Therapist support group; then my new Grandmother Writing Webinar, which went super well, and after dinner, after watering the garden, hosted the Journal of Expressive Writing Open mic. Whew! What a day! Then I noticed my youngest had done something sweet for her and her boyfriend: she set my projector and screen up on the deck with her computer, brought candy and popcorn, and treated him to a movie night outdoors! Wave’s definitely going to like this idea too.
