#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Windows open to the soothing sound of pouring rain and the sense that even though we had a fun, challenging hike planned, I could linger in bed. And it rained and rained, so we couldn’t take our hike and yet, a breaksfast out, a chance for me to read a part of my friend’s book, do a bit of writing, start a new poem, take a nap. And then the sun came out. And we went out. The wildflowers in bloom are so stupendous. We walked all around the trails in view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the Sausalito side. The time outdoors together walking has been pure happiness, and we sat overlooking the rocks and surf and meditated with the dogs curled up nearby. The eucalyptus trees and the cypress trees and the sage after rain give off a spicy, heavenly, clean and freshening scent. I filled a pocket with sage to bring home with me.
