#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Bright bright sun blasting my room this morning at 7:00 a.m. So grateful for undiluted sunshine after days of rain. The boy was awake and we took Brittany out into the yard. Charlie too. He is being very accepting of Brittany. They pay almost zero attention to each other. I go off for my swim and it’s a bit of a stretch. I’m tired. The whole team, I think, is recovering. And my aunt and uncle are making lots of phone calls, but they are also doing their very best to make the transition. Day busy with tasks. Take Brittany to the vet and get a handle on her medical issues. She is very sweet and adapting well to her stay here. My grandson is home from school for professional days the past two days. Lots of special time with him. I managed a brief afternoon nap while he was playing with my other daughter and his mother was working. Then I woke up suddenly to a small face staring into mine from beside the bed. He wanted me to come and sit at his table with him while he ate his lunch. So, of course I did. And read him a book. And had very sweet time with him. We played pickle tonight, me, my youngest daughter, my son and Frank. It’s good to be home. No walk today with Charlie somehow. I have promised him a long one tomorrow. Without Brittany. Just him and me.
