#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
A pleasure to be home. Time for me and Frank to have coffee and talk before his departure. I made the right choice to come home when I did. Awake a bit of the night but it gave me a chance to think over the work I had done. And I had a terrific swim after Frank left. Then a short walk with Charlie. I do believe I saw Charlie and Brittany touch noses for a second today. Every day Brittany becomes more and more a member of this household. She’s so well behaved and cheerful and sociable. Wave loves when she follows him around. I missed him. A delight to have him home in his cuddly cow-spotted bathrobe after a bath with his hair combed by his mom. Four days since I’ve seen him and he’s three years older! Very comic and mature. I got to have time with both my daughters. I had poetry workshop this morning, and felt frustrated with my poem. But brought it to a different workshop tonight and this was very helpful. Today it was a pleasure to do dishes, recycling, trash and laundry––some active, mindless housekeeping was just what I needed after all that focus and concentration. It’s still cold and the river is high and the brook is running fast and overflowing the trail. I have scheduled with Vanessa to go over my manuscript, and that feels like great progress. Oh, that moon last night! That’s why I had trouble sleeping. Woke up at one point and the moon was staring straight at me, beaming its bright light through a perfect angle in through my bedroom window into my face. One can never be mad at the moon for shining, even when you can’t sleep.
