#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Some rain on me and Charlie in the woods. I skipped my swim to that I could get on the road early to Connecticut to see my aunt and uncle in memory care with Brittany. A road trip with Brittany. On the way there my aunt calls my cell. She doesn’t know I am on the way there. She wants to know if I am open to keeping Brittany. This is a surprise. It means they have decided that Brittany is best with me. I feel honored that they have asked, and of course I accept. I let them know I am on my way there for a visit! Of course they are very happy to see her, and she is happy to see them. But they are also okay with letting her come with me. It’s a very sweet visit. Home in the late afternoon. The house has been lived in today, that’s for sure. I restore order and Frank and I and my daughter put together a nice dinner. She makes an Irish soda bread from scratch as a special treat––everyone loves it, hot from the oven. We’re all here except Wave’s mom who is working. After dinner we play and read books and I have a lot of negotiating to do with him and I am tired. A journal that accepted two images of mine recently just told me they are choosing one for the cover, and I’m very pleased about the success of my images recently. Poetry workshop in the morning, and I have a poem ready. Sleep, I am ready for you tonight.
