#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
First one up; first one out the door, my walk to the beach. Wind-blown currents. Cooler today, in a very pleasant way. I meet my daughter and husband at the French bakery for coffee. They drive down and I walk from the beach through town. We have a long connecting chat over coffee. We are happy she is here to share some special time with us. We get pedicures, and today is a very relaxing day of fun, a total vacation day. Naps. Swimming in the pool. Reading. All of us in the late afternoon go down to the beach; I am eager to show my daughter the beach, for her to have a swim with me in the frothy surf. A stunning sky––behind us, the white disk of the nearly full moon rising; and in front of us, the orange glove of sun sinking down into the sea. We stay in the frothy surf swimming and do some playback for each other right there in the surf. We have a casual dinner downtown and a friend from years past who is a native Costa Rican and guide at a nearby resort meets us and it’s lovely to reconnect with him after this past year. The stars are stunning each night in the open, cloudless black sky.
