#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
I am so happy tonight. Just happy because it has been such a wonderful day, a peaceful day, unstressful day, a plenty of time day. A swim, and I did my mile even without quite the energy I wanted to have. And Charlie and I enjoyed the wetlands together. I have been revising poems and sending poems out for publication. I packed a little for our upcoming trip. Went into Cambridge to meet poetry friends for dinner, and then we walked a couple of blocks over to the Grolier bookstore for my friend’s poetry reading: Eileen Cleary reading from her newly published book (published by Nixes Mate who published my book, girl in tree bark) “Wild Pack of the Living.” And Mary Buchinger also read––both very moving and lovely, all of us making a full house of the tiny, dynamic reverent room of Grolier. Easy in, easy out of Harvard Square. A dry, cool night. Then, suddenly, a rush of snow flurrying in the yard once I got home. No Wave tonight. No dinosaurs. Much quiet. Too much quiet––lots of rest and extra time for poetry.
