#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
A Monday morning kind of day. A bit of stress getting the boy out the door. Then, I go to the pool and I’m having a lovely swim, I’m half-way through, and the fire alarm of the club goes off and we have to leave. Oh well. We, in the bubble of the pool, are the last to know! I grab my clothes out of the locker room on my way past and exit the club in my swim cap and goggles and bathing suit and a towel. I changed at home and had a chance to be with Charlie in the woods. Sent a poem revision off late last night to morning workshop. After lunch, I have a headache, suddenly exhausted, I’m out for a long, unanticipated nap. Sheesh. I wake in the late afternoon. The sky is gray. Storm coming tomorrow. A long food shop; a quick dinner. More poetry tonight, and I appreciate the comments for my poem. Just as I end the Zoom, I see a face of a boy in a cow bathrobe peeking in the door to see if I am ready to play. I have told him I won’t lock my door and hope he will be polite and wait til I’m done. I’m done! Then, dinosaur play. In his dinosaur personality he is irresistibly adorable. We have quite a romp with many necessary trips to the dinosaur hospital. I am so happy to be home. Everyone is excited about a possible snow day.
