#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

No crowing outside my window this morning. A little worried. But Fudgey is on the property, my daughter insists. She saw him. And by late afternoon he is back at the front door looking for food. Lovely to have the door open to a warm day. I go to the registry of motor vehicles to renew my license and it’s painless. The woman who waits on my compliments my outfit! Today I got the possibility of a date from the Boston Playwrights’ Theatre to hold a staged reading of my new play in early December. Which brought up a lot of excitement, happiness, and a little anxiety. Going to Cambridge tonight with Frank was a true blessing and treat. We had so much time to talk things over about my play and many other things. Great to connect with him, and we went to a lovely gathering, a book release party celebrating my friend Jenny Grassl’s new poetry book, Magicholia. Got to see many friends and the food was delicious, including the apple strudel baked by her husband, Tony, from his family recipe. It was a warm night, perfect for gathering inside and out. I felt so happy that Jenny got such perfect weather for her special event. We drove home through Harvard Square, talking, talking, talking. Tom Daley, my poetry workshop leader of many years, gave Frank the supreme compliment: Most supportive poetry spouse ever. Agreed!
