#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

A very quiet house tonight, with Frank away and the boy coaxed early to bed for some much needed rest. Another cold, late January morning, and my good morning swim, and then a walk without Charlie because my daughter took him on a walk off property. I didn’t stay out long. It was cold and I had a meeting to get to. The ice is melting in the wetlands. It was cold, fresh, quiet. A lovely part of the day was prepping for an interview on Zoom with the founder/editor of Synkroniciti journal about my photos she accepted, as a cover photo, and three additional ones for the interior, on the “family” themed issue. Her questions were wonderful and I took a lot of time to write out my answers so I would have notes. It took me deep into a reflective process on my own work that I really appreciated. Then the interview went very smoothly. We had a great conversation and I felt her input was fascinating as well. The interview will be published in the issue on March 1. I have two more images being published tomorrow in another journal, Beaver Magazine. I am a bit tired today. My daughter volunteered to go to the store and make dinner, and that was a huge relief. I got a short nap, and we had a casual dinner––just what we all needed and wanted. Yes, a quiet house tonight is very much welcome too.
