#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Up early to fly home. Out the window of our AirBnB we can see the highly publicized gargantuan new ocean liner/cruise ship, the Icon of the Seas heading in to dock in the early morning light. As it arrives, we leave. An easy departure, an effortless trip home. I get some work done on the plane. I am so grateful for this brief, relaxing break. As hoped, I arrive home in time to lead the first meeting of my new play lab, and it’s a great new group and I’m excited about it. The house upon arrival is clean and quiet and I’m so happy to find it so. Then, an easy dinner and I get to see Wave for the first time. We give him a present, a play dough truck/cement mixer, and he’s quite happy to have the toy and us to play with him. Delighted to facilitate the Journal of Expressive Writing Open Mic, featuring poet and translator Olga Livshin right after dinner. And then, of course, dinosaur “yoga” with my favorite playmate who has been missing me. The weather is mild, the river is high. I am quite happy to be home and eager to be back in the wet woods in the morning.
