#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Mornings now begin with helping the boy get ready for school and out the door. Then, my walk. Charlie and I took a shorter one. These hot summery days! The river was deliciously tranquil. Time for my annual physical. I ride my bike the 15-minutes it takes to get to her office. I am so grateful for good health. I am grateful for health care so near to my home. I ride my bike as quick as I can because I have a client, and get there in time. Later, after getting some work done, (sending my newsletter), I decide to take a swim after all. It’s just too summery to resist. These hot days of pond swimming go so fast. I want to appreciate them while we have them. Late afternoon sun on my shoulders. I bake two quiches, cheddar and broccoli. A sweet end of the day; the little one has not eaten enough dinner. Asks for two eggs while Frank and I watch the US Open, and he sits beside us eating heartily, and I have to figure out how to explain what a protest is, what climate change is, because it’s happening in real time in the stands of the tennis game we’re watching. Play has resumed on tv, and his mother has ushered him to bed.
