#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Stil, still summer and I love this weather. Bathing suit weather. Out the door at 8 to ride my bike to the pond for a swim. I seem to be the only person in the water this morning. I saw no other swimmers, and none of the sailboats were out. Diving in, the water was as pleasant as the air. I had a nice swim around the island, and biked home for my Ukrainian group. Which was poignant in so many ways. Kind of a non-stop day, and a good one all around. My meeting with Vanessa on my manuscript was so helpful, so rich. It’s a gift to work with her and have her feedback on my writing. Frank and I had a late afternoon wedding to attend! A friend of his was marrying and it was a lovely, sweet, intimate event. I’ve never been to a wedding on a Tuesday afternoon! Both of us had groups tonight, so we had to leave early. It was nice to be doing something unusual, involving love, in an unexpected way. My daughter, with the leftover crab from last night’s crab legs made the most amazing crab bisque with a homemade stock. The aromas flavored the house. I led me free write tonight online and it was lovely to see familiar faces and new. Rich writing and sharing. Ah, day did not end there. The little one was still awake and requested a stroller ride under the stars. So we walked to the music of crickets and it was comfortably dark and hot and yet he did not sleep. His mother must somehow get him to close his eyes, and I hope he does. Morning comes soon, with school.
